About ISAN 2023

The 2023 International Symposium on Autoethnography and Narrative (ISAN) occurred via Zoom on January 3-5, 2023. The Symposium featured more than 130 prerecorded presentations of autoethnographic and narrative research. Several presentations are linked throughout the program (below). The Symposium also featured one keynote address, three workshops, and 16 spotlight sessions. More than 330 people registered for the symposium.

Autoethnography and Ethics

Amanda participated on the Autoethnography and Ethics panel moderated by Chris Patti of Appalachian State University.

The panel included several other scholars and their impactful work including Hanxue Zhang of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Chihiro Suzuki of Osaka Metropolitan University, Estefanía Díaz of Universidad Autónome de Aguascalientes, and Stephanie Tillman of Saint Louis University.
